A great way to start of the new year, FANTASTIC!

Namie Amuro's been around for ages and has changed with the ages and this single shows that she's not slowing down or losing momentum at all, it's her best single to date in my opinion. As a new fan though that comment doesn't hold much warrant but I this single is of top quality and will be a big hit.

The first track, NEW LOOK, is perfectly themed to suit the 60's atmosphere and reminds me scarily of the hit movie Grease of the time. The song is poppy and suits the time period great, although her inability to pronounce English words correctly comes into play when she says look, it sounds unnatural and odd. The hair is big and puffy, the colours are perfect and the general atmosphere is well directed.

The second track, ROCK STEADY, is my least favourite track on the single but seeing as the competition is very steep, this song is still great. The music shows the start of the 'dance' period of history and lyrics are fun and witty in many ways. My reason for not loving this song is the PV, it's a god send in some ways and annoying in other ways. The clothes, people and areas look like they've been ripped out of a 70's movie and are fantastic. Her hair is beautiful in this PV and shows of how much time she spends on keeping it beautiful (and how much Vasson payed to make it look beautiful...). However the dubbed over conversations give the song a cheezy feeling and sound way too scripted to sound natural. In particular the conversation over the phone sounds like they're reading off a piece of paper and the PV could have done without it.

The final but not least track on the single, WHAT A FEELING, is the song I've heard in a long time. This is my favourite song of Namie's ever. It's poppy but heavily dance orientated and flows perfectly and makes someone like me, who would rather kiss the ground than dance, want to get up and dance the night away. The lyrics are admittedly very simple but the song doesn't make room for large amounts of lyrics due to it's amazing beat. And not to mention it's perfectly themed to the 80's era, showing the introduction of more complicated dance song and the roots of the current music of this age. The PV makes this song perfect though. It's cool, sexy and oh so cool. Her hair looks amazing, the dancers are very true to the time period and the settings are so perfect it's amazing.

All these reasons make this single one to not to be able to go without and a necessity to anyone who loves Japanese dance music and Namie Amuro. I'm getting this single and you should too!

安室奈美恵はスバラシイ！
自分のスタイルを確立しつつ、古いものも新しいものも受け入れていく柔軟さ。
今回のシングルがそれを物語っている気がします。
この３曲をライブで聴きましたが、本当にステキでした。
何度でもこのパフォーマンスを観たいと思わせてくれました。
最近の安室ちゃんが主流としているHIP HOPとR&Bだけではなく、今回はROCKなテイストの安室も楽しめます！

ちょっと期待はずれだわ

VSのCM曲はフルで聴きましたが なんか、ただ右から左に流れてく感じで 印象に残らない曲でした。

ちょっと期待はずれでしたね。

今回の新曲について…皆さん、ご存知VSのCMソング耳に残ります。ショッピングしながら、ドライブしながら口笛なんかもいいね。値段は2000円ですが目がくぎづけになり、DVDを、もっと続きを見ていたくなります。シンプル・クール・セクシー・女性の鏡です。英語の発音も美しい…。出掛ける前に女性ならメイクを整えながら聞いたりしたくなる感じかな…。うぅ〜結婚したいぃ〜〜。
